About

"Paul Harvey belongs to the small band of Australian cartoonists who, it can be said, that everything they do, they not only do well but do in a first class manner. that’s why they are so good.

Paul Harvey with his great talent and skill has done it again with his new book, the invincible Bunyips.’ There is no doubt that Paul’s success in the creative field has a lot to do with his attitude to his art.

There is one point of view that I’d like to add. In that Paul should sign his full name on his cartoons, not Harv. If it is good enough for great cartoonists and caricaturists like Ronald Searle, Ralph Steadman or Gerald Scarfe, David Levine or the late great Hirschfeld to sign their whole name, I’d like to see Paul sign his whole name as well in the future.

I found a children’s first reader book, Bubble Gum in the Sky, illustrated by Paul Harvey, 1926- . Drawings are fantastic. Is Harv this person?

    Hi Paul,
Could you please answer these question for my speech at school. What was your first job? What was something exciting that happened to you in your life? What did you want to be when you were a kid? When did you first find your talent? How long have you been a cartoonist for? How long have you been interested in drawing? How has your job changed your life? Do you have any other hobbies? How many books have you wrote or illustrated and what are the books?

    Thanks, Oliver.
